Little Mouse, Little Mouse, Are You In The Red House?
Kids love to play the mouse hiding game. I gave the kids rectangle pieces of construction paper and I drew the lines on the top for them to cut to make the roofs. Then they decorated the house with windows, doors, whatever they wanted. I then cut a half circle for the mouse! This is a great game for color recognition but on houses you can also put letters, numbers, shapes anything your child is working on.
Then you recite the poem, “Little Mouse, Little Mouse are you in the (color, number, shape, letter) house (as you knock on the door)?”
The kids must try to say the color, number, letter or shape before they can flip it over to see if the mouse is hiding in that house. Can you find the mouse?
