Mixing Colors

Sensory time! This is one of the easiest activities because you can put ANYTHING in the water and kids will enjoy it! It is also easy to turn it into some academic learning through counting, sorting, and matching all while “rescuing” the teddy bears! We can’t wait until it warms up and we can bring the water play outside!

Chocolate Bunny

It sure smells yummy! Paint the bunny using chocolate sauce to make a chocolate bunny! I always did this in my preschool classroom and the kids would love painting it chocolate except in the classroom I used brown paint which you could easily swap in for this activity—I knew Ollie would LOVE LOVE LOVE using the chocolate to paint so I gave it a try!  And then he added his special touch of sprinkles on top!

**If you decide to add sprinkles, add glue to your chocolate or brown paint and mix so then the sprinkles will just stick to the paint! I also just cut the bunny out of construction paper!

Mixing Colors Connect

Mix and connect the primary colors to make new colors! This is a simple way to practice identifying what primary colors make new colors. Ollie(3) has been very interested in mixing colors and knowing what colors make new colors so I set this up quick for him! Bonus – There is no mess of paint when mixing.

To Do: Just draw sets of colors so that it is easier for you to set-up, so draw a blue dot, yellow dot and green dot, and then repeat for the other colors–that way you know you have the right amount of colors.
