Land and Sea Sort

It’s #multiculturalplay day so I decided to bring out the globe! My kids obviously first loved it because it was a “globe beach ball” and I am sure it looked fun to hit and smack HA!  But they also liked it because we had so much engagement with this simple beach beall globe!

From land vs sea items, to where we live,to where our friends and relatives live, to where we visited, to where we would want to visit, to how it is morning here while it’s night there and it goes on! But the best part for them was decorating the globe with window and 3D stickers. And it was a perfect opportunity to practice sorting sea items from land items!

You don’t have to provide a lot to learn about the world. This simple beach ball globe from the Dollar Tree and some stickers provided engagement as well as opportunities to learn about this diverse world!
