We decided to do some “shadow play” outside because the sun was out and the reflections were good! We grabbed our Magna-Tiles and headed outside to create shadows! When the sun reflected upon the tiles it displayed a color on the pavement. My kids had chalk nearby so we decided to color in the colored light shadows before the sun disappeared under the clouds.
It was a race against time but it really showed my kids the “science” of this activity and how you need a certain angle and the sun to be present for this to work. When the sun went under the clouds my kids would say, “Hey! The lights went out.” HA!
