Sort the Silver

Money!  Why did they need to make all those coins the same color HA?! I know there is a reason but for kids sake it would be so much easier if they were rainbow colors, right? Since it is all silver it can be hard for kids to distinguish the difference!

It is a skill that needs to be taught so that they can learn to distinguish the differences. When doing this activity you can talk about the value, how to add money together, the size of the coin, the importance of money, what and who is on the coin etc. 

There is SOO MUCH conversation you can have with just this simple activity. Give it a try and see what questions your child has to ask about the money to add to my list!
